Know the counterparty
Establish the contracting entity, ownership information, authorised representatives and the commercial purpose of the relationship.

RESPONSIBILITY & COMPLIANCE
Commercial agility depends on clear standards. Our approach puts counterparty information, product documentation and defined responsibilities alongside the commercial opportunity.
ExploreOUR STANDARDS
Establish the contracting entity, ownership information, authorised representatives and the commercial purpose of the relationship.
Review the product, origin, destination, parties and proposed payment arrangements in the context of the trade.
Set out the specification, price, responsibilities, payment conditions and required documents in the applicable agreement.
We expect honest dealings, accurate documentation and lawful conduct from the parties involved. Concerns should be raised before a transaction proceeds.
COUNTERPARTY ONBOARDING
Customers, suppliers and partners may be asked to provide company registration documents, ownership details, identification of authorised representatives, tax information and relevant operating licences, according to the nature of the relationship.
Our compliance team confirms the applicable information requirements and the appropriate submission channel. Commercial discussion does not itself constitute onboarding approval or a commitment to trade.
PRODUCT & MOVEMENT
Quality certificates, safety data, inspection records, origin documents and movement documentation are established according to the product and transaction. Relevant technical and regulatory requirements must be addressed before the material moves.
Our compliance commitments guide how we develop business. They do not replace the product-specific approvals, licences or statutory obligations of the parties responsible for a transaction.
THE FOUNDATION OF WORKING TOGETHER
Four areas to consider as a commercial relationship develops, from the people involved to the requirements of each transaction.
People at the centre of every commercial relationship.
Clarity around who decides, agrees and delivers.
Requirements shaped by the product, route and market.
Company information that supports an informed review.
Identity, business profile and due diligence.
Specification, origin and supporting documents.
Commercial terms, payment and responsibilities.
Agreed shipment records and handover.
A REQUIREMENT. AN OPPORTUNITY. A CONVERSATION.
